Who is Superman anyway?

Superman is a fictional character, a comic book superhero widely considered to be an American cultural icon.
Created by American writer Jerry Siegel and Canadian-born artist Joe Shuster in 1932 while both were living in Cleveland, Ohio, and sold to Detective Comics, Inc. in 1938, the character first appeared in Action Comics #1 (June 30, 1938) and subsequently appeared in various radio serials, television programs, films, newspaper strips, and video games. With the success of his adventures, Superman helped to create the superhero genre and establish its primacy within the American comic book.[1] The character's appearance is distinctive and iconic: a red, blue and yellow costume, complete with cape, like a circus costume, with a stylized "S" shield on his chest. While referred to less than flatteringly as "the big blue Boy Scout" by some of his fellow superheroes, Superman is hailed as "The Man of Steel", "The Man of Tomorrow", and "The Last Son of Krypton" by the general public within the comics. As Clark Kent, Superman lives among humans as a "mild-mannered reporter" for the Metropolis newspaper Daily Planet (Daily Star in the earliest stories). There he works alongside reporter Lois Lane, with whom he is romantically linked. The character's supporting cast, powers, and trappings have slowly expanded throughout the years. Superman has fascinated scholars, with cultural theorists, commentators, and critics alike exploring the character's impact and role in the United States and the rest of the world.

Umberto Eco discussed the mythic qualities of the character in the early 1960s, and Larry Niven has pondered the implications of a sexual relationship the character might enjoy with Lois Lane.
The character's ownership has often been the subject of dispute, with Siegel and Shuster twice suing for the return of legal ownership. The copyright is again currently in dispute, with changes in copyright law allowing Siegel's wife and daughter to claim a share of the copyright, a move DC parent company Warner Bros. disputes.

About declaring yoga "haram" for Muslims

I also hear about our own clergy Mr. Din Syamsuddin actively engaging himself in Interfaith dialogues, even chairing an institution funded by, i think the Saudis. As such the move by a handful of clergies in our country, following a similar move by the malaysian clergies, to declare yoga "haram" for Muslims, surprises us all, the thinking people of the entire nation.Can you declare the law of grativity haram because it was discovered by a christian Newton? Or, the theory of relativiety haram because Einstein had Jewish blook running through his veins?

Perhaps, "religions", and i mean all religions not understood by such clergies must be declared haram too. Air, water, earth, fire and space must be declared haram, for before Baba Adam, Ibrahim, Hazrat Musa and other prophets of Middle East, they were already appreciated by the sages and seers of ancient Egypt, India, and China.What surprises me most is the response by much respected clergy such as Mr. Din, for he is untill this moment very much a part of the council of ulemas issuing such mindless fatwas.

These clergies are decided upon breaking our society, unfortunately some of our officials are blind to this fact. The sole reason behind this is to arabize our nation, and turn us into a backyard of the saudis with their wahabbi ideology, as malaysia has already been. Our leaders who support such move are but paid employees of such foreign powers.But, i am hopeful.

I am optimist, we Indonesians are not fools. The latest moves of our majelis ulema, the ulemas' council shall prove to be a coffin for them. Islam is too high, too lofty, too sacred and too glorious to be affected by the moves of a bunch of ignorant clergies and officials.

(I AND MAYA HAVE COLLECTED LOTS OF DATAS and all of them point out to the atrocities of the saudis. They want to control us and our resources. Prior to that they want to turn us into a nation of non-thinking and aslways conforming bunch of ignorant people. They have succeeded in Sudan, now trying with Pakistan and Indonesia... RUU PORNOGRAFI MENGHANCURKAN KONSEP NEGARA BANGSA

Mengapa RUU Pornografi harus ditolak ?

Pertama, RUU Pornografi adalah sebuah isu legislasi yang paling controversial sepanjang sejarah pembahasan RUU di Parlemen. Sebagai produk kebijakan publik, RUU ini belum selesai di tingkat konsep. Belum ada "konsensus nilai" tentang apa itu pornografi. Kalaupun DPR hendak memaksakan diri untuk segera mengesahkan RUU ini, itu artinya DPR akan mengesahkan RUU Pornografi sebagai konsep yang belum selesai. Tentunya, RUU yang dipaksakan akan menimbulkan persoalan yang lebih pelik lagi dari isu pornografi itu sendiri.

Kedua, RUU ini berpotensi menghancurkan konsep "negara bangsa" yang multi kultur yang telah dibangun selama kurang lebih 63 tahun sejak Indonesia merdeka. Negara kita adalah negara demokrasi yang menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai HAM. Bahkan dalam UUD 1945 pasca amandemen telah diatur dengan jelas mengenai prinsip-prinsip Hak Asasi Manusia. Kecenderungan yang muncul saat ini adalah; bahwa RUU Pornografi telah mengabaikan asas kebangsaan, kenusantaraan, kebhinekaan, keadilan, kesetaraan gender, dan kepastian hukum sebagai bagian penting dari perlindungan HAM. Ketidakmampuan DPR secara cerdas memahami konstitusi, negara hukum dan demokrasi, membuat UU yang dibuatnya telah menabrak konstitusi sebagai kredo demokrasi.

Ketiga, tidak ada definisi final yang memuaskan semua pihak tentang konsep "pornografi", bahkan ada kecenderungan definisi pornografi dibentuk berdasarkan pada sumber kekuatan nilai tertentu yang bersifat partikularistik. Negara ini adalah negara bangsa yang multi kultur, jika RUU ini hendak dijadikan UU, maka UU ini tidak boleh hanya. merepresentasikan kekuatan nilai yang lahir dari kelompok tertentu, lebih jauh RUU ini harus mampu merepresentasikan wajah multikulturalisme sebagai realitas politik dan budaya Bangsa Indonesia

Keempat; Sebuah RUU yg berada pada posisi controversial, tidak bisa dipaksakan menjadi UU. Jika ini ini dilakukan, justru yang muncul adalah suasana social disorder, bukan social order. Kelompok-kelompok kepentingan yang tidak diakomodir dalam RUU tsb pasti akan resistance melakukan perlawanan.

Kelima; melibatkan masyarakat sebagai polisi moral dalam RUU tersebut justru akan memicu konflik horizontal, chaos, equielibrium social yang terganggu. Karena pasti akan ada kelompok tertentu dengan mengatasnamakan moral dan agama akan melakukan gerakan sweeping terhadap obyek-obyek yang diduga melakukan pelanggaran terhadap UU Pornografi.

Why we come to this...?

So, here we are fighting each other, we already forget about "bhineka tunggal ika" (different but still united). Why this happening, as one of the minority all I can say is because the goverment too affraid to hurt the majority, they make them become too special for this country and that's not right. When Soekarno's era The Indonesia people have their own language, culture, and great nasionalism but now...look at those bunch of stupid people who act like living in arab, living in western civilization...where's the kebaya (traditional clothing) that we always see in every 80's Indonesian movies and every street?
are we still indonesian enough to say that our country is INDONESIA or we come to this end... Build you can say...BUILD YOUR OWN COUNTRY or MOVE TO ARAB you goddamned!!!!

So here's another euphoria...the new president of United States of America, Barack Obama...I have no idea what kind of party Indonesia people hold for this...kinda stupid though cuz we have our own president but nobody held such amazing party like today, I mean come on...be happy to have your own president, as SBY is not that bad...he's good for reduce corruptioon in Indonesia but I hate when I heard that he's the one who sign for the UUP (Pornography rules) as a leader of Democrat party to get vote on the next election, 2009. Whatta shame....
